On Eve of International Women's Day we salute Queen of Hindo ( Hindustan ) Hindimba
On Eve of International Women's Day we salute Queen of Hindo ( Hindustan ) Hindimba , the courageous Aadiwashi women of ancient Hindustan who ruled forest Kingdom after her brother Hindumb was killed by Bhim in dual fight over her love for Bhim .
Hindimba the young princes , who was married to Bhim later after consent of Kunti mother of Pandavas .
At this movement even the first of Five Pandwas , the eldest Yudhisthir was even unmarried , even before Dropadi . As such she was the first Daughter in Law of Kunti ,
Bhima and Hindimba had a warrior son Ghatotkach who saved Arjuna from the deadliest strike and died himself saving Arjun .
Had he been alive , he must have become Ruler of Whole Ancient Hindustan .
Hindimba , Hindinbi were Adiwashi Nagvanshi like Kunti and therefore Kunti immediately consented to Bhim - Hindimba marriage as both were Native .
In Mahabharata there is mention that Bhim went to Nag Lok when he was drowned in some lake and he was welcomed by Nag Lok as he was son of Kunti , a Nag kanya herself .
Hindimba Devi temple stands in the midst of a sacred cedar forest near the town of Dunghri at the verdant foot of the Himalaya mountains. The sanctuary is built over an enormous rock that juts out of the ground, worshiped as a manifestation of Durga, the "Hill Mother" or goddess of the earth. The temple was constructed in 1553 by Maharaja Bahadur Singh. The interior of the temple is occupied by the large rock and contains no useable space except for the ground floor.
